Job Summary
The Radiology Extern plays a vital role in supporting the radiology department by maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of imaging equipment, aiding technologists in delivering patient care, and facilitating safe patient transport within various departments. This position is essential to ensure that all safety standards and regulatory guidelines are consistently adhered to.
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare imaging equipment for use by healthcare professionals.
- Assist technologists in providing care for patients undergoing imaging procedures.
- Facilitate patient transport between different departments effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in the radiology department.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Currently enrolled in or have recently completed a Radiology program.
- Possession of a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
