Job Summary
The role of a Registered Nurse (RN) is critical in the healthcare field, delivering high-quality care to patients across various settings. RNs are responsible for assessing patient needs, planning and implementing nursing care strategies, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. They play a vital part in educating patients and their families about health conditions and wellness practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical and psychological health.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and preferences.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding disease management and healthy living.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the applicable state.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications may be required.
