Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering respiratory care within a hospital environment. This role involves performing treatments, managing ventilators, conducting patient assessments, and providing emergency respiratory assistance. The position requires adaptability to work across various Cleveland Clinic locations as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory treatments and therapies for patients.
- Manage and monitor ventilator settings and patient responses.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ respiratory conditions.
- Provide emergency respiratory care as required.
- Float to different Cleveland Clinic facilities when necessary.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in respiratory therapy.
- CRT or RRT credentials are accepted.
- Active Ohio Respiratory Therapist license must be provided upon application.
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification and American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are mandatory.
- Weekend availability may be required based on needs.
