Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist plays a pivotal role in delivering effective respiratory care to patients. This position involves the safe administration of respiratory therapies, oversight of mechanical ventilation, and execution of diagnostic tests like ABG sampling. The therapist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to formulate comprehensive care plans and will also provide educational support to both patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory care in a safe manner.
- Monitor and manage mechanical ventilation.
- Perform diagnostic procedures, including arterial blood gas sampling.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory health and treatments.
Qualifications
- Active Respiratory Therapy license.
- Certification as a CRT or RRT from the NBRC.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Preferred one year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy.
