**Retail Licensed Optician**
The Retail Licensed Optician plays a vital role in helping customers choose the right frames and lenses, accurately interpreting prescriptions to guarantee proper dispensing of products. This position requires the maintenance of a tidy dispensing workspace, strict adherence to HIPAA privacy regulations, and the mentorship of apprentice opticians. Applicants must have a high school diploma or its equivalent and hold the necessary state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing. Essential skills include effective communication, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to perform mathematical calculations associated with optical services.
