Job Summary
The RNFA/SA/PA role is crucial in providing advanced nursing care and surgical assistance within a healthcare setting. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of surgical procedures and techniques to offer support before, during, and after surgeries. The individual in this role collaborates closely with a surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team in preparing for operations by ensuring the surgical suite is ready and sterile.
- Provide direct patient care by assessing their needs, monitoring vital signs, and administering medication as directed.
- Participate actively during surgical procedures, offering assistance to surgeons and other medical personnel.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document all nursing interventions and patient responses.
- Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures and postoperative care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
Qualifications
- Current RN license with specialized training in first assisting, surgical assisting, or physician assistant roles.
- Proven experience in a surgical environment or similar healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations and respond to emergencies promptly.
