Job Summary
The RNFA/Surgical Assistant/PA is responsible for providing specialized surgical assistance and clinical support in the operating room. This role integrates nursing skills with surgical assistance capabilities to enhance patient care during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures by providing direct support to surgeons and facilitating patient safety.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth workflow in the operating room.
- Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient care, including patient education and support.
- Utilize advanced nursing knowledge to monitor patient status and respond to any changes during surgery.
- Document surgical procedures and patient interactions accurately and thoroughly.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license with certification in surgical first assisting.
- Completion of a recognized surgical assistant program or equivalent qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy and techniques.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with a multidisciplinary medical team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
