Job Summary
The RNFA/Surgical Assistant/PA plays a vital role in the surgical team, collaborating closely with surgeons and other medical personnel to ensure the highest level of patient care during surgical procedures. This position requires an individual who is skilled in the surgical process, capable of assisting in various capacities throughout the surgery, and committed to maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to the surgical team during operations, ensuring that instruments and equipment are ready and in good condition.
- Perform pre-operative and post-operative duties as needed, including preparing patients and managing documentation.
- Collaborate with surgical team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor patients’ conditions before, during, and after surgical interventions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in the surgical environment.
Qualifications
- Current RN license or PA certification is required.
- Experience in surgical settings, with demonstrated proficiency in assisting with surgical procedures.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, techniques, and protocols.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced and demanding work environment while maintaining attention to detail.
