Job Summary
The Sample Prep Technician position in Saint Louis, MO offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20-21/Hr. This is a 6-month contract role focused on weighing and extracting samples to facilitate a high-throughput analytical process within a laboratory environment. Ideal candidates will demonstrate reliability, precision, and an ability to consistently handle repetitive tasks.
Responsibilities
- Weigh and extract samples to assist in conducting high-throughput analytical processes.
- Conduct routine sample preparation tasks with consistency and accuracy.
- Adhere to established laboratory protocols to ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Perform repetitive tasks while ensuring high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Utilize basic computer skills for sample tracking, documentation, and other laboratory-related tasks.
Qualifications
- Education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
- Candidate must exhibit reliability and accuracy with a strong focus on detail when executing repetitive tasks.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory, including lab coats, eye protection, various gloves, and hearing protection as required.
- Work conditions involve alternating between standing and sitting in a laboratory setting.
- Physical capacity to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds is necessary.
