MES / SCADA Engineer

$65/HR to $70/HR Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior MES/SCADA Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and/or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. This role requires a Manufacturing Engineer with significant expertise in process setup, system integration, and deployment within high-volume manufacturing environments.
The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled engineering professional who can configure, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve plant-level MES/SCADA systems while supporting new product introductions and ongoing operational improvements. Key Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary teams to meet project deadlines and resolve technical issues.
- Drive MES configuration changes and system deployments across the plant.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities involving MES configurations.
- Configure, deploy, maintain, and enhance current MES/SCADA systems.
- Develop and execute training plans for new processes and system changes.
- Prepare manufacturing documentation, specifications, and technical reports.
- Coordinate pilot builds and track implementation issues to resolution.
- Maintain documentation and present reports on MES changes and system updates.
- Participate in changes related to the MRE system.
- Communicate project status to management during periodic reviews and manage escalation processes when required.
- Define, manage, track, and report MES budgets (capital and expense).
- Coordinate design reviews with vendors, designers, and stakeholders.
- Support fellow Manufacturing Engineers and Project Managers throughout project phases.
- Adapt to varying project needs and contribute across departments to meet business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of manufacturing experience with proven success leading projects and new process setup initiatives.
- Strong hands-on experience with MES and/or SCADA systems (required).
- Experience with system integrations within manufacturing environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software (e.g., Minitab, MATLAB, or similar).
- Experience with SQL Server and ability to perform queries for data validation.
- Experience with ERP systems and simulation software.
- Proven ability to coordinate technical discussions and vendor negotiations.
- Strong leadership skills, including managing engineering teams and projects.
- Experience managing project timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in automotive, truck manufacturing, or other high-volume world-class manufacturing environments preferred.
