Job Summary
The Scrub Assistant plays a pivotal role in patient care during surgical procedures by utilizing specialized techniques in the operating room. This position requires working alongside a Registered Nurse and is crucial for providing vital support in surgical environments.
Responsibilities
- Support surgical teams by preparing and maintaining the operating room.
- Assist in managing surgical instruments and supplies.
- Remove and manage surgical waste as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses and surgical staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Completion of a certification-eligible training program within 90 days of employment.
- Active BLS certification required within the first 90 days after hire.
