Job Summary
The SDU RN is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a specialized setting, ensuring their comfort and safety during their stay. This role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver effective care and support to patients and their families, addressing both physical and emotional needs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered nursing care within the SDU environment.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, promptly responding to changes as needed.
- Educate patients and families regarding health management and treatment plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in health records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in the development of nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the appropriate state.
- Background in critical care or a relevant nursing specialty preferred.
- Strong assessment and clinical skills in managing diverse patient populations.
- Excellent communication abilities to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Commitment to adhering to safety and quality standards in patient care.
