Job Summary
The SDU RN (Staff Development Unit Registered Nurse) is responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients within the Staff Development Unit. This role involves utilizing advanced nursing knowledge and skills to support patient recovery and ensure a high standard of healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patients’ healthcare needs and status.
- Implement and coordinate care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond promptly to changes in their condition.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and care processes.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and records.
- Participate in professional development and continuing education activities.
- Assist in the training and supervision of junior nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in good standing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience in an acute care setting or relevant specialty.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Commitment to quality patient care and safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
