Job description
Job Summary
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer plays a vital role in the development and optimization of innovative mechanical systems and components. This position is responsible for applying engineering principles to create, test, and refine mechanical designs that meet project specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of mechanical systems along with strong problem-solving skills to drive engineering excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct engineering analysis and simulations to validate design performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical and software systems.
- Lead and manage technical projects from conception through production, meeting project timelines.
- Provide technical support during the manufacturing process and guide troubleshooting efforts.
- Document design processes, specifications, and testing results for ongoing projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of materials, production processes, and manufacturing techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with a capacity for leadership.
