Job Summary
The Senior Structural Engineer for Water and Wastewater, based in Portland, Oregon, is responsible for overseeing complex structural engineering projects that have a significant impact on the community. This role emphasizes the importance of collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural systems for water and wastewater facilities, focusing on structural steel systems.
- Collaborate effectively with civil, mechanical, process, and construction teams to ensure project coherence.
- Guide and mentor junior staff and support them in professional development, including obtaining required licensures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations throughout project execution.
- Participate in project planning and scoping to align engineering solutions with client needs.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure with a focus on structural engineering; support for OR licensure is provided.
- Extensive experience in the civil engineering sector, particularly in water and wastewater applications.
- Strong foundational knowledge of structural analysis and design principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for successful collaboration with diverse groups.
