Job Summary
The PAMF-Palo Alto Medical Foundation is looking for an experienced Senior Surgical Technologist to join our OR Support team in Fremont, California. This full-time position involves working onsite in a dynamic operating room environment to ensure a seamless surgical experience through thorough preparation and assistance during procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing superior patient care and support to the surgical team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are within reach.
- Drape patients appropriately to maintain a sterile environment.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient workflow within the operating room.
- Prioritize patient safety and care at all times throughout surgical procedures.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in surgical technology, particularly in an operating room setting.
- Knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical instruments.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
