Job Summary
The Senior Trade Compliance Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and ensuring adherence to trade compliance regulations within the organization. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and enforcement of compliance policies and procedures, providing necessary training, and supporting international trade operations.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain compliance programs related to trade regulations.
- Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement in compliance practices.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams regarding trade compliance matters.
- Monitor changes in trade laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Deliver training sessions to staff on compliance policies and best practices.
- Collaborate with legal and regulatory bodies as necessary to address compliance issues.
- Prepare and submit required trade compliance reports and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Law, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in trade compliance or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations and laws.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for training and collaboration.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
