Sterile Processing Supervisor
Cleveland, Ohio
3rd shift
The Sterile Processing Supervisor will manage and coordinate the functions of our sterile processing team. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of sterile processing techniques, equipment, and procedures, combined with exceptional leadership and organizational abilities.
Responsibilities of the SPD Supervisor:
- Guide and supervise the daily operations of the sterile processing team, including scheduling, task delegation, and providing support to ensure high-quality performance.
- Guarantee that all medical instruments and equipment are accurately sterilized in compliance with established protocols and industry standards, covering cleaning, decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization processes.
- Assess and uphold the quality and integrity of sterile processing activities by conducting regular inspections and applying corrective measures when necessary to meet regulatory standards and infection control guidelines.
Requirements for the SPD Supervisor:
- Possession of CRCST or CBSPD certification.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in sterile processing, demonstrating expertise in sterilization methods and equipment.
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
- Capability to prioritize tasks, address problems, and perform effectively in high-pressure situations.
