Job Summary
The SPD Technician will play a crucial role in the management and oversight of sterile products within the healthcare facility. This position entails ensuring compliance with safety standards, proper sterilization processes, and maintenance of equipment used in the preparation of sterile supplies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to all sterile processing protocols and safety regulations.
- Perform sterilization, assembly, and distribution of medical instruments and supplies.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of sterilization equipment.
- Document and monitor sterilization cycles and product usage.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to meet their sterile supply needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in sterile processing preferred.
- Experience in a sterile processing environment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and equipment is required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise protocols.
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and coordination.
