Job Summary
The Specimen Collector plays a critical role in the collection of biological specimens at designated client locations. This position emphasizes the importance of ensuring strict compliance with chain of custody procedures and maintaining the integrity of all specimens collected. Additionally, the collector is tasked with managing patient interactions and confirming insurance details while ensuring accurate documentation submission via electronic systems.
Responsibilities
- Collect biological specimens at client sites following strict protocols.
- Maintain the integrity and chain of custody of all collected specimens.
- Manage interactions with patients professionally and efficiently.
- Verify patient insurance information as required.
- Accurately submit all necessary documentation through electronic systems.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program or a minimum of three years of relevant experience is necessary.
- Exceptional customer service skills are a must.
- Attention to detail is crucial for ensuring accuracy in procedures.
- Basic proficiency in computer systems is essential for documentation.
