Job description
Job Summary
The Speech Therapist is responsible for evaluating and diagnosing speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients. This role involves designing and implementing individualized treatment plans to enhance patients’ communication and swallowing abilities, facilitating improved quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement tailored therapy programs to address each patient’s needs.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and caregivers to support patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on communication strategies and techniques.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations and treatment activities.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
- Valid state licensure or certification in speech therapy.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and rehabilitation strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population.
- Experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
