Sr. IT Apps Specialist
100% Remote (Based on EST Hours)
12 Month Contract (Potential for extension)
$53-57/hr W2 We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented App Specialist for supporting our Project Management organization. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of project management initiatives by providing technical support, supporting training sessions, maintaining systems and applications, and troubleshooting issues. This assignment requires excellent problem-solving skills, responsiveness, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Day to Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to service requests and inquiries, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support for applications such as PWA (Project Web App), MS Project, Planview AgilePlace, PowerApps, Power Automate and other project management tools.
- Conduct license audits for tools such as MSPS, Planview AgilePlace.
- Assist in setting up QA environments and supporting tools for project management training sessions.
- Ensure training environments are ready and provide on-site technical support during sessions to address any issues
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Project Web App (PWA) for managing project schedules, tasks, and reporting.
- Experience with Planview AgilePlace for Agile project management, including board automation and license management.
- Experience with database access management and entitlement adjustments (e.g., Production Database Access).
- Experience with security patch testing (e.g., ODBC Security Patch Deployment).
- Knowledge of PowerApps / Power Automate for updating and maintaining applications
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and comprehensive information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Experience facilitating training sessions and supporting onboarding processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Planview Portfolios for strategic planning and portfolio management.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Associate's Degree or higher in an IT or Business related discipline (such as MIS, Business Management) and a minimum of four years of related work experience in technical tool administration that involves creating, testing, configuring, updating, manipulating, and/or scripting technical tools or applications.
- In lieu of the above combination of education and experience, a minimum of six years of related work experience in technical tool administration experience creating, testing, configuring, updating, manipulating, and/or scripting technical tools or applications.
