Sr. IT Systems Analyst
Remote Position
9-Month Contract (Possibility of Extension)
$58.57/hr W2
This role will contribute to the Planview Connected Solution program with a particular focus on the Enterprise Architecture capabilities within Planview. The contractor will collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Domain Architects, Senior Consultants, vendors, and project teams to develop, configure, and enhance the Enterprise Architecture toolset, alongside Planview Portfolios and associated internal solutions. This individual will convert business needs into functional and technical specifications, advocate for architectural styles, system and design strategies to minimize complexity, facilitate configuration decisions, and assist in phasing out or transitioning existing systems. The position also entails examination of existing data structures, mapping data to a future solution state, coordinating imports with vendors, and defining data flow connections between the Planview Enterprise Architecture tool and Planview Portfolios.
Daily Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Domain Architects, Senior Consultants, vendors, and project teams to configure and manage the PV Enterprise Architecture capability.
– Convert business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications, incorporating user stories, acceptance criteria, and necessary documentation.
– Design and enhance configurations for the Enterprise Architecture tool and Planview Portfolios, suggesting alternative strategies to minimize complexity.
– Evaluate the current architecture, data, and system structures, align them with the new solution, and oversee data migration and vendor imports.
– Develop and maintain necessary technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, context diagrams, process documentation, and configuration specifications.
– Assist the team in Agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and planning sessions (monthly or quarterly).
– Facilitate requirement reviews, collaborative problem-solving sessions, and cross-functional meetings to promote alignment and successful delivery.
– Assess the quality of configurations, reporting, and metrics to provide insights into the overarching PV Enterprise Architecture solution.
Required Skills:
– Proficient in utilizing and configuring Planview Architecture Management (formerly Planview Troux / True) and/or Planview Portfolios (formerly Enterprise One), with an emphasis on Enterprise Architecture tool functionalities.
– Experienced in configuring and managing complex enterprise applications and technical environments.
– Strong ability to gather, document, refine, and oversee technical requirements.
– Comprehensive understanding of enterprise architecture methodologies, frameworks, and relevant tools.
– Extensive knowledge of IT technologies and architectures, as well as adjacent systems and data interchange.
– Competent in creating technical documents and communicating effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
– Demonstrated aptitude for cross-team collaboration, facilitating discussions, influencing outcomes, and achieving consensus in a dynamic environment.
– Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
– Insight into data structures, data management strategies, system interaction patterns, interfaces, and approach to migration.
– Awareness of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and LEAN methodologies.
– Familiarity with Portfolio and Project Management practices and systems.
– Understanding of AI techniques, including requirements for AI prompts and testing.
Education and Experience:
– A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Technology or a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Mathematics, Information Systems) with a minimum of four years of relevant work experience in designing, developing, programming, and/or supporting IT Systems and applications.
– Alternatively, a minimum of six years of relevant work experience in designing, developing, programming, and/or supporting IT Systems and applications may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
