$63-68/hr W2 For this role, the Applications Development Performance Engineering Team within the Enterprise Development Capabilities & Services (EDCS) organization has an exciting opportunity for a System Test Engineer Senior. This team provides application performance testing/engineering support to the overall Application Development Platform within our IT department. In this role resources work with a variety of application development teams ensuring their applications’ performance is thoroughly tested and meets the enterprise performance standards. Please note this role is NOT an “automation engineer” who is told what to automate, and then “clicks, records, and executes.” Candidates must have experience deciding what utilities, frameworks, and tools will be used given the situation, and then will determine the scope of the performance testing effort. Therefore, candidates must have hands-on experience with various programming languages, scripting, and test automation. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
• Creating performance test plans
• Creating / writing performance test scripts
• Executing performance tests, and analyzing and delivering results
• Working with project teams to understand performance results, and making recommendations of how to improve application performance Required skills:
• Test automation skills
• Test plan preparation, and test results analysis
• Knowledge of computer coding/programming languages (i.e. C# / .Net) and software development concepts in a large IT environment
• Experience with NeoLoad, Playwright, Selenium Web Driver, FitNesse, and/or other test automation tools. Preferred skills and experiences:
• Performance testing experience
• Knowledge of Java, Perl, Python, Ruby
• CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Scrum and/or Agile methodologies
• Mainframe / DB2 knowledge a big plus
• In-depth knowledge of common testing methods, performance testing tools (e.g., ALM), terminology and industry practices EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
– Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Business or Information Technology, or related discipline (e.g., Computer Science, MIS, Business Management) and a minimum of four years of work experience analyzing, planning and implementing business system changes.
– In lieu of a degree, a minimum of six years of related work experience analyzing, planning and implementing business system changes may be accepted.
