Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room plays a vital role in the surgical team, ensuring the coordination and delivery of care to surgical patients. This position emphasizes adherence to patient rights and the importance of maintaining sterile techniques throughout surgical procedures. This full-time opportunity operates from 11 am to 9:30 pm in Washington, Missouri, and entails working onsite within the healthcare facility.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Ensure all necessary surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to coordinate patient care before, during, and after surgery.
- Support the maintaining of patient rights and uphold sterile field protocols throughout procedures.
- Participate in post-operative care and assist in transferring patients as required.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and patient safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively within a surgical team environment.
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to adhere to the operating room’s schedule and requirements.
