Job Summary
The Sterile Pharmacist is responsible for the preparation and dispensing of sterile products, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of compounded sterile preparations and requires a high level of attention to detail and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense compounded sterile products following strict protocols.
- Oversee the training of pharmacy technicians and support staff in sterile compounding techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and quality assurance procedures.
- Conduct routine evaluations of sterile compounding environments to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Provide guidance and expertise to healthcare professionals regarding sterile medication therapies.
Qualifications
- Pharm.D. degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
- Active pharmacist license in the state of practice.
- Experience in sterile compounding and knowledge of aseptic techniques.
- Strong understanding of pharmacy laws and standards regulating sterile preparations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
