Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Auditor is responsible for evaluating and ensuring compliance with established regulatory and safety standards in the sterile processing department. This role is critical in maintaining the quality and safety of surgical instruments and medical devices within a healthcare setting. The auditor will conduct regular assessments, identify deficiencies, and work collaboratively with the team to implement necessary improvements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough audits of sterile processing practices and protocols.
- Assess compliance with national and institutional guidelines.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for process enhancements.
- Document findings and prepare reports for management review.
- Engage in training staff on best practices and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Must possess a relevant certification in sterile processing or a related field.
- Experience in auditing or quality assurance within a healthcare environment is essential.
- Strong understanding of sterile processing interpretations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
