Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Educator will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of sterile processing training within the healthcare team. This position involves promoting best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and developing educational resources for staff members.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement educational programs for sterile processing staff.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate training needs and effectiveness.
- Provide ongoing support and mentorship to employees in the sterile processing department.
- Update training materials in line with current practices and regulations.
- Collaborate with management to improve operational workflows within the department.
- Act as a resource for staff regarding sterile processing best practices and compliance issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Certification in sterile processing technology preferred.
- Proven experience in sterile processing or a related healthcare field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective staff training.
- Ability to assess training needs and evaluate educational outcomes.
