The Sterile Processing Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring patient safety by decontaminating, sterilizing, and distributing medical instruments and equipment. This position involves managing case carts, conducting biological tests, and upholding precise record-keeping in accordance with regulatory requirements. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and must secure a Registered Central Service Technician Certificate within three months of employment. Knowledge of surgical instruments and proficiency in operating different sterilization and cleaning equipment are essential for this role.
