Key Responsibilities of the Sterile Processing Technician:
- Perform cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instruments and related equipment.
- Assemble and package surgical instrument trays and kits according to established protocols.
- Employ correct aseptic techniques to minimize the risk of infections.
- Maintain precise records of sterilization activities and the upkeep of equipment.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the availability of sterile supplies for surgical interventions.
