Job Summary
The Structural Engineer (SE – Civil/Truss) role is essential for the development and implementation of structural solutions in various projects. Located in Washington DC, this position requires an onsite presence to ensure effective collaboration and communication with team members throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural systems for civil engineering projects.
- Work closely with architects and other engineers to develop innovative and practical design solutions.
- Conduct structural assessments and evaluations to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders during the entire project progression, from initial concept through completion.
- Prepare and review detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Qualifications
- Possession of a Structural Engineer (SE) license or a Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience in structural design and engineering principles.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools for structural analysis and design.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively engage with colleagues and stakeholders.
