Job Summary
The Supervisor of Billing Operations is tasked with managing the professional billing functions of the organization, focusing on denial management, enhancing reimbursement processes, and overseeing accounts receivable activities. This role necessitates effective leadership in mentoring staff and driving process enhancements, alongside working collaboratively with various interdisciplinary teams to achieve both financial and operational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the professional billing operations, ensuring efficient denial management and reimbursement processes.
- Oversee accounts receivable to maintain financial health and minimize losses.
- Provide mentorship and support to staff to enhance performance and professional development.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the billing operations.
- Work in partnership with interdisciplinary teams to meet the organization’s financial and operational targets.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations.
- At least 3 years of experience in managing complex denial situations.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Certification as a Professional Coder from AAPC.
