Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist Certified – OR position at CHRISTUS Surgical Hospital is an essential role within our patient care team, located in the Operating Room. This position is crucial for ensuring that surgical procedures are conducted smoothly and safely.
Responsibilities
- Create and uphold a sterile environment during surgical procedures.
- Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and other materials as needed.
- Participate in all necessary processes related to surgical operations.
- Work collaboratively with nurses and surgical staff to support patient care.
- Achieve certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist within 180 days of hire.
Qualifications
- A valid Surgical Technologist certification is preferred, or the willingness to obtain certification within the specified timeframe.
- Previous experience in an operating room setting is advantageous.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
