Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist (CST) for the Operating Room in General Surgery will perform essential roles in the surgical team, ensuring high-quality care for patients. This position is based in Willimantic, Connecticut, and operates on an onsite work arrangement. The hospital, known for its advanced technology, aims to deliver exceptional surgical outcomes while fostering a compassionate environment led by skilled medical professionals. A sign-on bonus is available, subject to certain restrictions.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the operating room and ensuring all necessary surgical instruments and supplies are available.
- Support surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures to maintain a sterile environment.
- Manage instruments and materials while performing duties in the operating room.
- Facilitate patient care activities before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Adhere to safety and cleanliness protocols to prevent infections.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is required.
- Experience in an operating room setting, particularly in General Surgery, is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure optimal patient safety.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a surgical team.
