Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist (CST) position is located in Manchester, Connecticut, focusing on general surgery procedures. This role requires an individual who is trained and certified through a nationally accredited Surgical Technology program, demonstrating proficiency in assisting surgical teams.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Assist in setting up surgical instruments and equipment.
- Support the surgical team in delivering high-quality patient care.
- Handle surgical supplies and assist in surgical counts.
- Follow protocols to ensure patient safety and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Graduation from a nationally accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Possession of a valid Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) or Certification from the National Center for Competency Testing (TS-C).
- Demonstrated competence in surgical techniques and patient care practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
