Job Summary
Children’s Mercy in Kansas City is looking for a Surgical Technologist II to become a vital part of the pediatric operating room team. This role involves working closely with physicians and registered nurses to provide exceptional patient care during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and organization of the surgical environment.
- Scrub for surgical operations, ensuring the necessary instruments and supplies are at hand.
- Support the surgical team throughout procedures to maintain a sterile environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to monitor patient safety and comfort.
- Participate in the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1–2 years of surgical technologist experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to patient care.
