Job Summary
The Surgical Services Team Member plays a crucial role in supporting nursing staff by ensuring high-quality patient care within the Operating Room. This position involves verifying and confirming the sterility of equipment and supplies, and adhering to established protocols to maintain a safe surgical environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist nursing staff in providing excellent care to patients during surgical procedures.
- Check and verify sterility indicators, dates, and proper handling of surgical instruments.
- Facilitate the preparation of the Operating Room to ensure it meets all necessary standards prior to procedures.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure prompt and effective patient care.
Qualifications
- Possession of a certification as a surgical technologist is preferred.
- Completion of a practical nursing program or a vocational nursing education is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and follow precise protocols.
