Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist OR plays a crucial role in the healthcare setting by aiding surgical teams during operations. These professionals ensure that all the necessary instruments and supplies are ready and available, contributing to efficient and safe surgical procedures in the operating room.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with appropriate instruments and equipment.
- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures.
- Maintain a sterile environment to prevent infections and complications.
- Handle surgical instruments and supplies correctly and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to assess patient needs.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician (ORT) program.
- Experience in a surgical technologist role or equivalent training.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of surgical instruments, procedures, and patient care.
- Ability to work onsite and adhere to hospital policies and protocols.
- Effective communication skills to work with patients and healthcare providers.
