Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a vital role in the surgical team by providing essential assistance during operations. This position is integral in maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical procedures. The Surgical Technologist is responsible for preparing the operating room and the necessary instruments while supporting the surgical team in various capacities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room and arranging sterile instruments.
- Ensure a safe and sterile environment for surgeries, maintaining strict adherence to protocols.
- Support the surgical team by anticipating their needs during operations.
- Handle and sterilize various surgical instruments to maintain hygiene standards.
- Monitor patient conditions and assist with any necessary tasks to uphold safety measures.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Surgical Technologist training program or equivalent education.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist may be required.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterilization processes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with surgical staff.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to patient safety.
