Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in supporting surgical teams by ensuring that all surgical instruments and supplies are prepared, sterilized, and readily available. This position is vital in maintaining safety protocols and enhancing patient care in the operating room at our Grand Junction, Colorado location.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
- Ensure that all surgical tools and equipment are properly cleaned and sterilized.
- Assist in managing surgical supplies and instruments, confirming they meet necessary sterilization standards.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other medical personnel to assess and address patient needs during operations.
- Contribute to safety processes to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program or equivalent experience.
- Eligibility for certification as a Surgical Technologist (Tech II).
- Effective communication skills and ability to function well in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of patient care practices and safety protocols in the operating room.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient care.
