Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist will play a crucial role in the operating room by assisting during surgical procedures. This position is essential for maintaining a sterile environment and supporting the surgical team to ensure the safety and well-being of patients throughout the surgical process.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team by preparing and providing the necessary instruments and equipment for various surgical procedures.
- Maintain the sterility of the operating room and all surgical instruments.
- Support patient safety by actively engaging in preoperative verification and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Sterilize and manage surgical instruments, ensuring they are ready for use during surgeries.
- Collaborate with surgeons and nurses to optimize the surgical workflow and patient care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
- Prior experience in an operating room environment is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and medical terminology is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
