Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist plays a critical role in the operating room, assisting in surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared and meet sterilization standards. This position requires collaboration with healthcare professionals to provide optimal care for patients during surgery.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all surgical instruments are correctly sterilized and prepared for procedures.
- Follow safety protocols related to fire and infection control in the operating environment.
- Assist in preparing the operating room for surgery, including arranging surgical instruments and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patient care teams to assess and meet the needs of patients during surgeries.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Certification or eligibility to attain certification as a Surgical Technologist.
- Relevant experience in a surgical setting is preferred.
- Strong ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
