Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room (OR) plays a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures at Rose Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. This position involves direct assistance to the surgical team, contributing to successful surgical outcomes while prioritizing patient safety and instrument sterilization.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team by preparing and maintaining the sterile environment in the operating room.
- Ensure all surgical instruments and materials are properly sterilized and ready for use during procedures.
- Support surgeons and nurses by anticipating their needs and providing necessary instruments and supplies during surgery.
- Maintain the overall safety and comfort of the patient throughout the surgical process.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program.
- Experience in an operating room setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
