Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room is responsible for assisting in surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining the operating environment. This role involves collaborating with medical personnel to ensure seamless patient care and facilitate efficient surgical operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments for procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons and other healthcare team members.
- Assist in maintaining a sterile environment throughout the surgical process.
- Monitor patient needs and communicate effectively with healthcare providers.
- Perform additional duties as required to contribute to enhanced patient care.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
- Experience as a Surgical Tech II or equivalent positions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a clinical environment.
- Ability to assess and respond to patient needs appropriately.
