Job Summary
BJC HealthCare – Alton Memorial Hospital is looking for a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room support team on a PRN (as needed) basis. This role involves preparing the operating room and assisting in various surgical processes to ensure smooth and safe procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Perform surgical scrub duties to maintain a sterile environment.
- Assist with the management and handling of specimens.
- Support room turnover to facilitate timely surgical sessions.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a surgical technology program is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
