Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in the operating room by assisting surgeons during various procedures. This position requires a dependable individual who can handle responsibilities that ensure a smooth surgical process, contributing positively to patient care and safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field before, during, and after surgical operations.
- Assist the surgical team by providing necessary instruments and supplies promptly.
- Ensure the proper functioning of surgical equipment and instruments.
- Participate in inventory management and ordering of surgical supplies.
- Support the surgical team in maintaining a sterile environment and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Certification as a surgical technologist (CST) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and anatomy.
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in the operating room.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
