Job Summary
The Systems Administrator (Linux / RHEL) plays a crucial role in ensuring the compliance and security of Linux server infrastructures within restricted and sensitive environments. This position is based in Tampa, Florida, and requires a dedicated on-site presence to manage and support systems that adhere to Department of War cybersecurity standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and management of Linux server infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with applicable cybersecurity standards and frameworks.
- Support the infrastructure utilized by USCENTCOM.
- Develop and implement security protocols and policies.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to enhance system security and functionality.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or three (3) years of equivalent experience.
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is required.
- Proven experience in providing support for Linux server environments, specifically within military contexts.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity practices and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
