Job Summary
The Trade Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring adherence to all regulations and policies related to trade compliance within the organization. This role plays a critical part in managing compliance programs, identifying risk factors, and providing strategic guidance to ensure lawful trading practices that align with company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement trade compliance policies and procedures.
- Monitor changes in trade laws and regulations, advising management on necessary adjustments.
- Conduct compliance audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of existing trade practices.
- Provide training and support to team members regarding trade compliance issues.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure that compliance standards are maintained across all operations.
- Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and respond to compliance inquiries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in trade compliance, with a strong understanding of international trade laws and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or a related field; advanced degree is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
