Job Summary
The Trained Medication Aide (TMA) at Cura of Sauk Centre plays a crucial role in assisting with medication management for residents in a supportive environment. The TMA ensures that all medications are administered safely and in accordance with prescribed protocols, contributing significantly to the overall well-being of the residents.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents as instructed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor residents for any side effects or reactions to medications.
- Maintain accurate medication records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff regarding any changes in residents’ health status.
- Help train and orient new staff in medication administration procedures.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Trained Medication Aide certification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role is preferable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Basic understanding of medication management and medication administration processes.
