Job Summary
The Transportation Aide – CNA is responsible for assisting in the transportation of patients to and from various locations, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process. This role requires effective interaction with patients and staff, promoting a positive environment within the healthcare facility.
Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading patients from vehicles.
- Ensure that patients are safely secured during transport.
- Provide support and companionship to patients during transit.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff regarding patient needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of transportation equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while transporting patients.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and lift patients safely.
- Must possess compassion and empathy towards patients.
