Travel Radiation Therapist
Pay Rate: $2680/week
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Location: Mansfield, OH
Schedule: Day shifts, 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
We are seeking an ARRT Registered Radiation Oncology Therapist for a 13-week contract opportunity in Mansfield, Ohio. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering radiation therapy treatments, aiding in treatment planning and simulations, maintaining precise treatment documentation, and collaborating closely with Radiation Oncology providers, patients, families, and hospital staff. The position operates Monday through Friday, and there are no on-call duties or weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities for Radiation Therapist:
- Deliver radiation therapy as per physician directives, departmental standards, and individualized treatment plans.
- Keep accurate daily records of treatment, which include dosages, calculations, and any necessary documentation.
- Conduct simulations, gather treatment parameters, capture patient contours, and perform dose calculations when necessary.
- Manage both inpatient and outpatient treatment schedules while effectively communicating with family members and healthcare personnel.
- Daily monitoring of patient conditions and progress including weight, skin care, reactions, and other changes related to treatment.
- Support the Radiation Oncologist with brachytherapy procedures and other related oncology needs.
Qualifications for Radiation Therapist:
- At least 2 years of experience in Radiation Therapy.
- An Associate’s Degree from an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program.
- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy is mandatory.
- Current Ohio Radiation Therapist license is required.
- Valid BLS certification is necessary.
